WOLD LAW GROUP; BRIEF BIOGRAPHIES
JAMES G. WOLD, ESQ.
James has practiced law since 1990. He founded Wold Law Group in 1998 after eight years of intense medical defense litigation at a 70 attorney, multi-office litigation firm based in Los Angeles. James's practice has always emphasized the defense of managed care, medical negligence, and medical business litigation.
James knows how managed care companies work and how to defend them. He regularly litigates cases which include punitive damage allegations and high exposure. He has also litigated just about every kind of standard medical negligence case one could think of, and many other kinds of cases. He has spent twenty-four years defending medical groups, HMO's, doctors, and hospitals, in addition to other clients.
James strives for attention to detail, strong legal motion work, prompt responsiveness to client requests, and accurate and reasonable evaluation of cases and case exposures.
Over the last sixteen years, James has expanded the firm’s client base to include clients in additional states, all having substantial interests in California.
James is a member of the California Bar Association and the California Bar Association Litigation Section. He is also a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association Healthcare Law Section.
James has two bachelor's degrees from the University of Southern California (1987); the first in International Relations, and the second in Political Science. He has a law degree from Pepperdine University School of Law in Malibu, California (1990).
James grew up in Seattle, Washington. He is married to Valerie Wold, an elementary school teacher, who is also from the Pacific Northwest. They enjoy working out in the gym, outdoor activities, travel, and socializing with friends.
